Since the 1980s, Media Service Group has helped businesses, educators, broadcasters, and organizations preserve, duplicate, and distribute valuable media. What began as a tape duplication company has evolved into a full-service media transfer, conversion, duplication, and digital asset management provider, while maintaining the same commitment to quality, precision, and personalized service that has defined us from the very beginning.

Everything You Need to Know

We’ve answered some of the most common questions about media transfer, duplication, and preservation.
Keeping your media local means you know where it is at all times and do not have to worry about loss or damage during shipping.
Consumer video formats such as VHS, 8mm, VHS-C, and MiniDV start at just $20. Final pricing depends on the media type, quantity, and project requirements.
Blank tapes are marked and set aside. You are not charged for transferring blank tapes.
Every project is different in size and scope, so ask when you place your order. One week or less is not uncommon, and we are often faster than many transfer services.
For digital transfer projects, your media can be delivered as digital files or on DVD.
Our rule of thumb is approximately two hours per DVD for better quality. Three or four hours may be technically possible, but it is not recommended.
Yes. Your original tapes and media will be returned to you after the transfer is complete.
Editing is available upon request. Our standard transfer service is a one-to-one transfer of the original footage.
In some cases, yes. Enhancement options depend on the source material and selected service, so each project is reviewed individually.
We can repair many damaged tapes. If a tape has been caught or damaged in a deck, we can often remove the damaged portion and splice the tape back together.
Yes. Ask us about the available digital file options so we can recommend the format that best fits your editing workflow.
No. There is no limit. We have successfully handled projects containing more than 100 tapes.
We transfer only the meaningful content from your media. If the recording ends and the rest of the tape is blank, we stop the transfer so you do not have to watch hours of empty black or blue screen.
